The history of Lavorazione Legnami dates back to 1976 with the foundation of “Chiaruttini Severino” - grandfather of the current CEO - who in Tolmezzo (Udine), Alto Friuli, had been operating in the wood industry since the 1960s.
Over the years we became specialised in the Wine Packaging sector, creating products for important Italian and foreign wine producers.
The desire to grow and perfect woodworking techniques, over the years led to Lavorazione Legnami meeting and collaborating with CMV, a Piedmont company, leader in packaging for the wine&spirits sector.
In 2015, in order to meet the needs and demands of the largest Italian wine producers, we decided to join the forces of the two companies, thus creating human and professional synergies that only a large group can generate.
Since 2019, therefore, we are a single entity: Lavorazione Legnami.
The goal of Lavorazione Legnami is to offer the customer an excellent product every day, together with attentive, personalised service.
Thanks to a young and very close-knit team, we are able to address any professional challenge and meet our customers' requirements.
We are, therefore, expert consultants in suggesting new solutions or in fulfilling special requests in the field of production and material selection techniques.
We believe in the importance of customers and putting them at the centre.
We strive to do our job well and to ensure the utmost flexibility. By doing away with formalities, we are able to build and foster collaborative relationships with our customers, that often lead to friendships.
Lavorazione Legnami has an in-house department dedicated to research and development, which operates at the cutting edge of innovation and is constantly looking for new stimuli.
We currently collaborate with the department of Materials Science of the Politecnico di Torino to learn about new materials to be introduced in our industry, introducing concepts such as economics, ecology and innovation.
During 2020, Lavorazione Legnami obtained in chain of custody the PEFC-FSC® certifications, thus joining those companies that have the promotion of responsible management of the world's forests as their objective. FSC® or PEFC products available on request.
